  • The 2009 edition of Legal 500, one of the most comprehensive reviews of lawyers worldwide, has now been published. In employment, AO HALL is a first tier firm. “Superb” Louise Hall is described as “the leading non-contentious employment lawyer in Guernsey” and Elaine Gray “knows her stuff”. In dispute resolution, Alison Ozanne draws praise as being “widely respected, effective in Court”, whilst Jon and Elaine are “extremely good”. Elaine also gets a mention for her IP practice – the only Guernsey lawyer to do so. Our investment funds services “has a growing market visibility”, with Sam Shires being noted for having “a commercial approach”. Both Alison and Louise have been ranked as leading individuals in their specialist fields.

  • On 22 September 2009, partner Alison Ozanne chaired the OPC Trustees conference. the conference also included presentations by Andrew Holden, our former secondee from Chancery chambers XXIV Old Buildings and Elaine Gray, which focused on insolvency inside and outside the trust.
  • The most recent edition of the Citywealth Leaders List 2009 has listed Group Partner Elaine Gray as a Leading Lawyer in the contentious trust litigation section.

  • AO HALL was proud to support “Make a Million for Les Bourgs Hospice”, which encouraged its Island’s school children to think of imaginative and innovative ways to raise one million pounds for Les Bourgs Hospice.  The competition raised awareness for Les Bourgs Hospice with the prize being the chance to burn one million pounds in used Guernsey currency.  Winners were Lily Russell, Stuart Keltie and Melissa Bougourd.
  • AO HALL's highly successful second biennial dinner and Fraud conference, held in conjunction with the GTA University Centre, was a huge success with delegates being treated to an extremely high calibre of speakers from a variety of backgrounds. Attendees to the pre-conference dinner were also given an opportunity to listen to and subsequently question PR guru, Max Clifford.
