Three Free Breakfast Seminars

The seminars, to be delivered by members of AO Hall's Fiduciary & Dispute Resolution team, will  deal with topical issues of interest to Guernsey fiduciaries and other professional advisers, and will involve a presentation on the relevant legal principles followed by an interactive case study.

AO Hall's Third Biennial Fraud Conference

We're delighted to announce that our Third Biennial Fraud Conference will take place on Friday 1 October 2010 at the St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey.  The Conference brings together a wealth of internationally renowned speakers on this topic.  The Conference will be preceded by a dinner on Thursday 30 September and we are honoured to be able to announce that the after-dinner speaker is Mr Nick Ross, former Crimewatch presenter and well-known celebrity.

Mutual Legal Assistance in International Matters: Guernsey Statistics 2009

According to the Accounts of the States for the year ending 31 December 2009, which have just been published, during the course of 2009 a total of 62 Letters of Request were received. From these, 49 requests were approved and allocated to specific areas of local legislation to enable mutual legal assistance to be provided. At year end, 13 requests were either pending review/consideration, or dormant awaiting further information from requesting authority before further consideration could be given.
